道门的符咒代代相传。代表了鬼神之号令文字，天地自然的气机运作。变化万千。但是一道好的符咒书写是非常困难的。而破坏也是很容易的，左右一撕立马失效，当然如此作为也是要负因果承负的，切不可如此。

Taoist talismans and charms have been passed down through generations. They represent the divine commands of spirits and deities, as well as the natural forces and energies of heaven and earth. The changes they bring are countless. However, writing a powerful Taoist talisman is an extremely difficult task, while destroying it is all too easy. A single tear can immediately render it ineffective. Of course, such actions carry consequences, and one must bear the karmic responsibility for them. Therefore, it is crucial not to treat these talismans carelessly or disrespectfully.

一般来说一道符咒的使用期也就是一年，符神护佑了一年功德圆满也就需要回去述职了。也有的门派说是三年，各师各法。当然也有一些特别的符咒是永久使用的，这个另当别论。

Generally speaking, the effective period of a Taoist talisman is typically one year. After one year, when the talisman’s divine protection has been completed and its merits fulfilled, the deity associated with the talisman must return to report on their duties. Some schools of thought or sects may extend the duration to three years, depending on their specific practices. Of course, there are also special talismans that are designed for permanent use, but these are exceptions and should be treated differently.

一，符咒使用切不可超过法师所嘱托的时间。就算超过了符咒效用也会慢慢的消失。

1. The use of talismans must not exceed the time specified by the Taoist priest. Even if the talisman is kept beyond the prescribed period, its effectiveness will gradually fade away.

二，使用期间忌污秽，法器符咒等都是忌污秽的，一沾污秽立即损害。

2. During the use of the talisman, it must be kept free from污秽 (impurity or filth). Talismans, sacred implements, and charms are all highly sensitive to impurity. Any contact with filth or contamination will immediately damage their effectiveness.

三，忌胡乱往符袋中添加别物，或胡乱的佩戴符咒添加符咒。

3. Avoid randomly adding other items to the talisman bag or carelessly attaching additional talismans to the existing one. This can disrupt the integrity and energy of the talisman, reducing its effectiveness.

四，房事时切忌携带。房事虽然是阴阳相合天地之道。但是阴秽也随之而生。

4. Avoid carrying the talisman during intimate activities. While intimacy is a natural union of yin and yang, it also gives rise to impurities. Bringing the talisman into such situations can cause it to lose its sacred energy and effectiveness.

五，如有损坏或者字迹因为汗水模糊的也不可使用。

5. If the talisman is damaged or its writing becomes blurred due to sweat or wear, it should no longer be used. A damaged or illegible talisman loses its spiritual power and cannot effectively carry out its intended purpose.

六，天葵期间的女性不宜碰触。放在包里随身携带就好了。天葵污秽会损坏符咒灵性。

6. Women during their menstrual period should avoid touching the talisman. It is fine to carry it in a bag, but direct contact should be avoided. Menstrual blood is considered impure (污秽) and can damage the spiritual power of the talisman.

七，触摸时要净手，至少保持手的干净。最好没事不要出符咒。

7. When handling the talisman, always cleanse your hands, or at the very least, ensure your hands are clean. It is best to avoid using or handling the talisman unnecessarily, as it should be treated with respect and only used when truly needed.

八，到期，损坏，沾污的，都应以金银纸少许一起将符咒烧化送走符神。表达的自己的感谢，善始善终。有条件的还可以供上香烛水酒就更好了。

8. When the talisman reaches its expiration, is damaged, or becomes contaminated, it should be burned with a small amount of gold and silver paper to send the deity away. This is done as an expression of gratitude, ensuring a respectful and complete conclusion. If possible, offering incense, candles, water, and wine is even more beneficial, as it adds further respect and reverence to the ritual.

关于灵符起效时间  Effectiveness Time of Talismans

一般来说善信情况有轻重缓急，犹如人生病了吃药一样，有的见效快，有的则慢，以及前世今生所积诸多恶业、孽障等等诸因干扰，阻力会有复杂、轻重等不同，所以灵符出现效应时间各不相同。有的用符后很快，一两天或几天就有奇妙的灵效，有的则要慢一些，一个月或稍长些都不等，没有统一时间标准。都要看信众将符法结缘回家后的呈现如何，法缘深的可能见效快，法缘浅的可能见效慢，心诚则灵—-就一定会得到神仙的庇佑帮助缘主实现愿望！

Generally speaking, the situation of the devotees varies in terms of urgency, much like taking medicine when ill—some remedies take effect quickly, while others are slower. Moreover, the interference of accumulated negative karma and obstacles from past and present lives can create complex, varying degrees of resistance. As a result, the time it takes for a talisman to show its effects differs from person to person.

Some devotees may experience quick results after using the talisman, such as miraculous effects within a few days or even one or two days. Others may take longer—perhaps a month or more—before seeing any noticeable changes. There is no fixed or standardized time frame for when the effects of a talisman will manifest. It largely depends on how the devotee’s connection with the talisman and its spiritual energy unfolds after bringing it home.

Those with a deeper karmic connection (法缘) may see faster results, while those with a shallower connection may experience slower effects. The key is sincerity: “Heartfelt devotion brings divine assistance.” When the devotee is sincere, they will undoubtedly receive the protection and blessings of the spirits, helping them fulfill their wishes.

请符咒后需要注意事项  Precautions After Using a Talisman or Spell

每一位缘主务必心存善念，行善事，心洁方可得神灵之庇佑。每晚睡觉前，可对着灵符以意念诚心祈求符中神仙助你达成愿望，这样可以加强灵符灵效。可进行一些放生、随喜积功德等为善之举以配合用符，以解因果孽障之纠缠，功效则会更好。

Each devotee must always maintain kind thoughts, perform good deeds, and keep a pure heart to receive the protection and blessings of the spirits. Before going to bed each night, you can sincerely pray to the deity within the talisman, using your thoughts and intentions to ask for help in fulfilling your wishes. This can strengthen the effectiveness of the talisman. Additionally, performing virtuous acts, such as releasing life or accumulating merit through rejoicing in others’ good deeds, will help resolve karmic entanglements and enhance the power of the talisman. The more sincere and virtuous your actions, the better the results will be.
